Summary
Reality bends inside Lain’s home and school life. Mika’s experience becomes fractured, showing that the Wired’s influence is not limited to Lain or to hackers. This is one of the clearest demonstrations that the series’ horror comes from perception failing in ordinary rooms.
What happens in the episode
The episode uses fragmented scenes, school conversation, technology, and unsettling pauses rather than conventional action.
