Jinto Linn Character Guide — Banner of the Stars II at PopRot

Spoiler note: this character guide includes role details from Banner of the Stars II and the Lobnas II arc.
Who Is Jinto Linn?
Born on the world of Martine (Martinh in Baronh), Jinto is practical and sensible, yet unsure of himself from being thrown into the life of Abh nobility. He acts as a moderate counterweight to Lafiel’s stubbornness. His formal name in Baronh before his father’s death was Linn Syun-Rock Jarluk Dreu Haider Jinto (Linn ssynec Rocr Ïarlucec Dreuc Haïder Ghintec) (the word Ïarlucec indicates that he is an heir). His name can be roughly translated to Ghintec (ssynec Rocr) Linn, Count of Haïdec.
Role in Banner of the Stars II
Jinto becomes the season’s political and humanitarian center, using his title as territorial deputy ambassador to negotiate evacuation plans under pressure.
Personality, Abilities, and Story Impact
Jinto Linn is best read through diplomacy, observation, survival under pressure, and the ability to read people during a political emergency. PopRot tracks how those traits affect the evacuation, the Basroil crew, and the season’s larger argument about command responsibility versus personal attachment.
