Spoiler note: Scryed Alteration is a recap-film version of s-CRY-ed, so these guides discuss broad TV-series conflicts and movie framing without pretending the films are a separate new storyline.
Scryed Alteration groups and factions guide
The Alteration movies keep the faction map readable: the Lost Ground is the social pressure cooker, HOLY is the elite Alter-user response, and ordinary civilians are caught between power and policy.
Major groups
- Lost Ground natives: people shaped by the isolated region and by suspicion toward official control.
- Native Alter users: powered individuals outside HOLY, including Kazuma, who are treated as a problem to capture or contain.
- HOLY: the elite unit that uses Alter users to police other Alter users, giving the story its institutional conflict.
- HOLD/mainland authority: the broader order behind policing and containment in and around the Lost Ground.
- Civilians and allies: characters such as Kanami keep the stakes personal by showing what the conflict does to people who are not simply chasing victory.
Why factions matter
The movies move quickly, so faction labels do a lot of work. They explain why two powerful people can see the same ability as freedom, danger, duty, or exploitation.
