The Mauser-centered order gives Scrapped Princess its broadest threat. It does not need every person to be cruel; it only needs enough people to believe that Pacifica’s death is righteous, necessary, or inevitable.
Why that matters
This makes the series more unsettling than a simple monster-or-assassin chase. Pacifica is endangered by doctrine, rumor, and civic obedience. People who have never met her can still participate in the system that hunts her.
How PopRot reads the faction
The Mauser structure turns prophecy into policy. It controls the story people tell about Pacifica before she can tell her own. That is why the Casull family’s loyalty feels rebellious: they insist on judging Pacifica by her lived humanity.
