Miyuki’s “factions” are social circles rather than armies: the Wakamatsu home, Kashima family, school peers, and romantic rivals who keep the central triangle under pressure.
The Wakamatsu Home
The most important group is the household itself. Masato and Miyuki Wakamatsu share space, chores, habits, and unspoken expectations, making the home the emotional center of the anime.
The Kashima Family
Miyuki Kashima and her father Yasujiro introduce a more public idea of romance and protection. Yasujiro’s police-inspector background also gives Kashima’s side of the story a stricter parental presence.
School Peers
Classmates and school routines amplify gossip, embarrassment, and ordinary teenage pressure. The school side keeps Masato’s private dilemma from feeling isolated.
Rivals and Suitors
Ryuuichi Masaki and other interested parties matter because they force the leads to notice what they might lose if they keep pretending nothing is changing.
