Who Is Kyouji Ida?
Kyouji is Genya’s cameraman and the audience’s grounded observer. He enters the interview expecting a normal documentary assignment and instead gets pulled into the visual logic of Chiyoko’s memories.
Personality
He is practical, skeptical, and often bewildered. That makes him important: his reactions keep the film readable when the story slides from interview room to historical battlefield to movie set.
Abilities, Skills, and Symbolic Power
Kyouji’s ability is observation. Through the camera and his commentary, he gives the audience a present-tense anchor while Genya emotionally participates in the past.
Story Relevance
He has less personal stake than Genya or Chiyoko, but that distance is useful. Kyouji helps show how powerful Chiyoko’s memories are even to someone who did not live them.
