What is .hack//Quantum?
.hack//Quantum is a 2011 three-part OVA from the later .hack era. It follows Asumi, Eri, and Iori through their avatars Sakuya, Mary, and Tobias inside The World R:X.
Timeline and tone
The OVA belongs to the franchise period after earlier stories about The World and its system incidents. It is more approachable than a full game arc because the focus stays on one trio of friends, one strange survivor named Hermit, and one escalating anomaly.
