22/7 is a 2020 A-1 Pictures idol-drama anime tied to the multimedia idol project of the same name. Its hook is stranger than a normal debut story: Miu Takigawa and several other girls are summoned by a secretive agency, placed in a group by orders from a mysterious Wall, and forced to decide what becoming an idol means when the assignment was never really a choice.

What makes it different
The anime mixes idol-training drama with a lightly surreal command structure. The Wall does not behave like a normal producer; it issues instructions that push the girls into auditions, performances, personal confrontations, and group decisions before they completely understand the system around them.
