What is 2020 Wonder Kiddy?
2020 Wonder Kiddy, also known as 2020 Space Wonder Kiddy and 2020 Nyeon Ujuui Wonder Kiddy, is a 1989 Korean sci-fi adventure anime produced by KBS and Sei Young Animation. The series imagined the year 2020 as a crowded, resource-stressed future where humanity pushes into space to find a new path forward.
The story begins after the exploration ship Eagle disappears. Ican, the thirteen-year-old son of Eagle’s captain, boards a search vessel to find his father and is pulled into a larger conflict involving alien worlds, dangerous technology, and Mara’s forces.
