Yorimichi Kuroba in 2.43 Mini Anime
Who they are
Yorimichi has played with Yuni since he was a baby. When he was younger, he wanted to become good at shogi and often went over to his grandfather's house to get lessons. He would also sometimes watch over and play with Kimichika Haijima and Yuni when they were little. As he got older, he became a delinquent and subsequently got abandoned as a lost cause by his relatives, but Yuni knew he had his good points and continued to hang out with him, even when he knew Yorimichi was sponging money off of him.
Role in the story
In the short-form companion anime, Yorimichi Kuroba helps turn the larger volleyball drama into instantly readable club-life comedy. The character matters because the mini episodes depend on viewers recognizing personalities quickly: competitive drive, awkward teamwork, senior-junior friction, and the way Seiin players react to volleyball pressure.
Personality and abilities
Yorimichi Kuroba is framed through sports-anime fundamentals: communication, court awareness, conditioning, and trust between teammates. PopRot treats the character’s “power set” as volleyball skill rather than fantasy ability — the important traits are timing, positioning, emotional control, and chemistry with the rest of Seiin.
