Summary

The premiere sets up the Miyakawa sisters through one perfect household problem: food looks wonderful on TV, but Hinata’s doujinshi spending keeps the family budget painfully thin. Hikage discovers how easily an ordinary mistake can become another week of cheap meals when Hinata replaces a lost doujin instead of protecting dinner money.

What happens in this episode

Episode 1 introduces the joke engine for the whole ONA. Hinata can talk about food cravings and hobby passion as if they are separate categories, but Hikage sees the same result every time: less money for real meals. The lost-doujin incident softens the sisters’ relationship because Hikage apologizes and Hinata comforts her, yet the punch line snaps back when Hinata buys the item again and asks Hikage to endure salted porridge.
