Meito Anizawa in Miyakawa-ke no Kuufuku

Spoiler note: This guide explains role, personality, abilities, and story relevance for the short ONA without spoiling every gag.

Meito Anizawa

Who they are

Meito Anizawa supports the Miyakawa sisters’ school-and-neighborhood comedy, giving the short episodes more social texture beyond the apartment money jokes.

Role in the story

Miyakawa-ke no Kuufuku is built around small daily-life pressures, so role importance comes from how a character reacts to money stress, school embarrassment, fandom shopping, or the sisters’ attempts to make ordinary days work. Meito Anizawa, also known as Anime Tenchou, is the manager of the Animate shop that Konata regularly visits; he was originally the mascot of Animate. He and his staff consider Konata their most valued customer known as "Legendary Girl A" and go to great lengths to sell to her. Their attempts usually fail miserably. His appearance is heavily stylized compared to the other characters, and he is known for his hot-blooded yelling and highly energetic movements and poses. He bears a very similar resemblance to Jouji Gouda in Akane Maniax.

Personality and abilities

There are no battle powers here; the relevant “abilities” are comedy instincts, social timing, stubbornness, thrift, and fandom stamina. Hinata’s enthusiasm turns shopping into a crisis, while Hikage’s sharper reactions keep the show grounded in consequences.

Story relevance

This character matters because the spin-off is less about plot twists than repeated pressure points: hunger, hobby spending, elementary-school pride, and the awkward love of family. Watch how each appearance either worsens the Miyakawa budget problem or helps show why the sisters still care about each other.
