Akane and Chii represent the ordinary world. Their side of the story gives the film its emotional baseline: family, birthdays, anxiety, and the push to try something frightening.
Wonderland Guides
Hippocrates and Pipo belong to the group of Wonderland figures who ask for help and explain the crisis. They are the bridge between the viewer and the setting’s rules.
Threatening Forces
Zan Gu and Doropo sit on the danger side of the story. They make the journey urgent and show that Wonderland’s problems have human-scale consequences for the people living there.
