Jinto Linn Character Guide

Spoiler note: This profile discusses Jinto Linn through the Aptic Gate campaign without spoiling later Banner seasons.
Who They Are
Born on the world of Martine (Martinh in Baronh), Jinto is practical and sensible, yet unsure of himself from being thrown into the life of Abh nobility. He acts as a moderate counterweight to Lafiel’s stubbornness. His formal name in Baronh before his father’s death was Linn Syun-Rock Jarluk Dreu Haider Jinto (Linn ssynec Rocr Ïarlucec Dreuc Haïder Ghintec) (the word Ïarlucec indicates that he is an heir). His name can be roughly translated to Ghintec (ssynec Rocr) Linn, Count of Haïdec.
Role in the Story
Jinto Linn matters because Banner of the Stars is not only about ships trading fire. The season studies how a crew, an aristocratic command system, and personal loyalty hold together when orders are dangerous and information is incomplete.
Personality and Abilities
The Seikai franchise treats composure, rank literacy, language, and shipboard discipline as practical abilities. For Jinto Linn, those traits shape how they handle pressure, whether through command presence, tactical judgment, logistical awareness, or emotional steadiness around Jinto and Lafiel.
Story Relevance
The Aptic Gate campaign forces every important character to reveal what they value: reputation, duty, survival, revenge, friendship, or the Abh ideal of elegant decisiveness. Watch Jinto Linn as part of that larger test.
