Summary
Chisa Yomoda’s death leaves Lain’s class uneasy, then the impossible email arrives. Lain, who barely uses technology, starts treating the Wired as something more intimate than a tool. The episode establishes the central split: the ordinary school world still moves, but communication from beyond the body has already punctured it.
