Raquel Casull Character Guide
Spoiler note: This guide stays broadly spoiler-light while explaining why Raquel Casull matters.
Who is Raquel Casull?
The eldest of the two Guardians (her age is not specified during the series), she is Pacifica’s adopted sister. Raquel is an adept magic-user who favours a defensive spell bearing the incantation ‘wall, block everything!’. After encountering the mascot Soupy-kun, she learned how to recreate smaller versions of him and volunteers to do so on several occasions but is often turned down. ~! Raquel maintains a levelheadedness throughout the series but is rendered helpless during the final episode, begging Mauser for Pacifica’s salvation.!~
Role in the story
Raquel Casull helps define Scrapped Princess’s central question: whether people are bound by prophecy and institutions, or by the loyalties they choose. Their role is central to the story, but PopRot focuses on how the character functions inside the finished episodes rather than on database labels.
Personality and abilities
Raquel Casull is written around magic, calm tactical support, and big-sister steadiness. The character’s best scenes usually reveal how fear, duty, faith, or family changes the way they respond to Pacifica’s fate.
